Where to Begin - FAQ
Where should I start if I'm new to fighting?
If you are new to the Art of Fighting, you must attend six Fundamentals of Do Jung Ishu classes before attending any other martial arts classes. Doing so will ensure your readiness to participate safely and effectively in the other classes.
What do I need to do to attend Kick Ass Yoga?
By the same token, Kick Ass Yoga is available at any time: yoga poses inherently have modifications so you can progress at your own pace.
What equipment should I bring?
You should have a mouth piece, hand wraps, and groin cup. If it's your first time and you don't have them yet, come anyway, though you should try to acquire them as soon as possible. Wear athletic clothes that you feel comfortable working out in. If you have your own gloves, shin pads, and/or headgear, bring those as well.
